Meet Cute- Relationship Anarchy + Rom Coms

Yes to writing about the queerest of couplings alive in one/every person!

Allow me to start by saying, there’s fabulous information out in the world about relationship anarchy. Thanks to the wild, rad folx lifting up their ways of queering love, kinship, and intimacy.

As I wind down my semester, return all kinds of books to libraries- both campused and public- I can’t help yakking up RA in risky creative ways. I enthusiastically encourage folx to dig into the links I’ve embedded in this post.

The timing is hilarious (#trashE cognitive dissonance) because I also feel called to watch a romantic comedy or 27. Yes! rom coms are a pleasure of mine- (notice I intentionally Do Not write “guilty pleasure”- more on this in December SiMC post) a way I re-balance my critical sensibilities with softer, slut-for-fun sides of myself (also helpful, domestic vacays, cuntree music, role playing, graphic novels + queer fiction, sledding <outdoor flavor not the queercore version, tho that sounds fun too> and sex).

Curious, what are your queerest ‘meet cutes’? And how do you ride your own trashE dissonance?
